We Don’t Die – film now available online!

We Don't Die - DocumentaryVERY EXCITING!!!!! Emmy-award winning video producer, Robert Lyon, said that my book changed his life! Wow! He flew to Massachusetts to film me telling my story. It is 50 minutes long but is all the things that took him from a skeptic to a believer. He is correct, many people don’t read books these days, but EVERYONE enjoys a movie! You can watch it here: http://muvi.es/w4850/180077 or go to my website wedontdie.com and watch it there. There is a small fee, but I think it is worth it. Enjoy! -Sandra

Thoughts determine what you want. Actions determine what you get.

“Thoughts determine what you want. Actions determine what you get.”

Wow! What an incredible quote to start the day off with!!! Screen shot 2013-12-05 at 1.07.46 PM

You know I am a firm believer in visualizing things but then action is definitely needed to make things happen. I once heard someone speak of the Law of Attraction and how necessary it is to visualize. But then he said that visualizing means nothing without action. Imagine if you visualized being in a great romantic relationship? Great, you know the type of person, the values you both share and pretty clear of the relationship you want. However, if you just visualize alone, you’ll be sitting around waiting for the pizza delivery person or the UPS driver to be “the one.” I think that paints the perfect picture. You’d have to be out dating, telling the people in your life the type of partner you’d like to be with and getting involved with events that would allow you to meet a person.

So, today, what is one action you can do towards your dreams??? Absolutely please visualize the success and be grateful like it has already happened. That will ignite the fire and the desire for things to start happening. But then take action.

Think of a GPS…put in your destination but then START DRIVING.  Are you up for that game today?

Can you be Afraid and Grateful at the same time?

I have often heard that love and fear cannot exist in our minds at the same time. Truthfully, when I am afraid about something, I haven’t had the opportunity to turn to love and focus on who or what I can love at that moment. I have not tried that experiment but I believe it might be true.

Screen shot 2013-12-01 at 7.31.32 PMHOWEVER, I think exercising the gratitude muscle can be done at any time, in just about any place. I get an opportunity to go on FOX television this Thursday and the truth is, I am afraid. Yes, I know in my rational mind that there is nothing to fear, that I have done it before and I will appear calm, cool and collective on screen. Try to convince my emotions of that though! Not so easy. So, I am practicing gratitude to see if it can replace fear. What do you think?

I won’t bore you with the list here, but I am going to pause this post & I’m going to write down 50 things I am grateful for right not. Be right back…..

Well, I did it. Guess what? It works!!! I wrote down about 20 things and it distracted my mind and the fear wasn’t there. Then, I purposely decided to think about the fear again and it was there. So I kept writing 10 more things, all the while FEELING the gratitude I had for these things, not just writing the words. I thought of my fear again and guess what? It didn’t have the strong hold on me. I wrote 10 more things and tried to feel the fear again. Again, it was much, much less. I had to start stretching to think of the last 10 things (the blanket that is on my lap right now, my comfy bed upstairs, that I have vision) and you know what happened? I tried to think of the fear again and I couldn’t feel it. Almost like I was bored thinking about it and my mind wanted to find something else to thing about, not that!

My suspicion is that fear will creep back in, but what if I made it a practice to be grateful? Even as I drive to the TV studio, I can have my hands on the steering wheel and talk out loud about the things I am grateful for.

I wonder if this will work for other things. Will being grateful help release anger, worry, guilt and sadness? Want to try it? Let me know what you think!

I am grateful you took the time to read this. Thank you!!!
